As one of the premier fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platforms, offering a selection of over 3,500 international fashion brands, About You is poised to make a splash in the world of fashion weeks. With the About You Fashion Week, the company aims to establish itself as a major player on the international fashion week scene, while also positioning itself as The Fashion Week for Generation Z, with a unique concept that blends fashion and entertainment. Julian Jansen, Content Director at About You, notes that this approach will be reflected in the About You Fashion Shows and the fashion shows of various participating brands.
In 2021, I had the pleasure of joining the creative team for the About You Fashion Week, held in the vibrant city of Berlin. Led by Star Choreographer and Creative Director Marvin A. Smith, our team was responsible for shaping the brand identities for the live shows on the runway, including the runway walks and staging of the models. We also worked closely with the light department to ensure that the best light cues were utilized to enhance the overall impact of the shows. In addition to these duties, we were tasked with queuing the models for their runway walks to ensure that the shows ran smoothly.
It was a challenging but rewarding experience to be a part of such a talented team and to contribute to the success of the Fashion Week. I am proud of the work we accomplished and am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a prestigious event in Berlin.
