From a German-based streetwear retailer to a globally recognized brand, SNIPES has grown its physical footprint to 450+ stores extending all over Europe since opening its first store in Essen in 1998. As one of Europe’s largest providers of sneakers and urban apparel, SNIPES has always maintained a strong focus on moving streetwear culture forward.
The snipes dreamteam includes talents and clubs in the fields of dance, basketball, urban sports, and music. The members act as brand ambassadors and at the same time support the street culture community in their own way. SNIPES works with the various members of the dream team in different ways: from outfitting the members to involving the dreamteam in various campaigns – snipes acts as an enabler to grow together and create unifying moments with the dreamteam members.
As the Director for this project, I had the exciting opportunity to create a social media for SNIPES, as well as direct the stills photography shoot as the Creative/Movement Director. Collaborating with Parisian powerhouse siblings Darren and Willis, who are both Snipes Dreamteam ambassadors for the brand, we aimed to seamlessly capture the blend of their jazz rock, house, and afro hip hop moves into a dance visual.
To bring our vision to life, we selected the iconic Sepulveda Dam as our backdrop for the dance video. This location exuded an unbridled energy that perfectly reflected the brand's unique style. With the duo's impressive talent, we created a phenomenally striking video that captured the brand's essence and spirit.
Working alongside my dear friend and Los Angeles-based photographer Jade Sullivan, we strove to create stills photography that was visually striking and fun, and would stand out on social media platforms. After brainstorming various creative ideas, we successfully captured photographs that perfectly encapsulated the brand.
Our project generated significant buzz and engagement on social media, and we were proud to have collaborated on such a successful project that showcased the brand's unique identity in a fresh and creative way.
